Obverse description Crudely struck hammered copper flan bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in Kufic-influenced script arranged across the field, citing the sultan's name and titles. The legends are distributed in horizontal registers, with the text partially legible due to characteristic die wear and irregular striking. The flan edges are uneven, consistent with hand-cut copper planchets typical of Mamluk subsidiary coinage. The overall design is purely epigraphic, with no figurative motifs.
