| Obverse description | Facing crowned royal effigy depicted en face, the head flanked by long curls falling over and covering the ears, rendered in the Gothic hammered style typical of early 14th-century Luxembourg coinage. The portrait is contained within the coin's central field, surrounded by a continuous Latin legend inscribed between two concentric pearled circles.
