Floral or foliate ornaments appear in the angles between the cross arms and the inner circle. A circular legend in uncial Latin letters reading the mint name surrounds the central design, enclosed between two beaded borders. The overall composition follows the standard esterlin format widely adopted across the Low Countries and neighboring principalities during the early 14th century. |
