| Reverse description | A long cross extending to the beaded inner circle divides the reverse field into four quadrants, each containing three pellets arranged in a triangular cluster, a design closely derived from the English sterling type. Floral or foliate ornaments appear in the angles between the cross arms and the inner circle. A circular legend in uncial Latin letters reading the mint name surrounds the central design, enclosed between two beaded borders. The overall composition follows the standard esterlin format widely adopted across the Low Countries and neighboring principalities during the early 14th century. |
