| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large crowned eightfold quartered coat of arms, incorporating the arms of Bavaria and the Prince-bishopric of Liège, superimposed on a crossed sword and sceptre. The date is divided by the lower portion of the shield, with two digits appearing on each side. A princely crown surmounts the escutcheon. The circular legend reads I·THEOD·CAR·D·G·BAV·D in Latin script, distributed around the periphery of the coin. |
