| Obverse description | Full-length effigy of Emperor Wilhelm I enthroned facing front, wearing imperial robes and crown, holding a raised sword in his right hand and an orb surmounted by a cross in his left. The throne is flanked by ornate columns with the Prussian eagle shield to the left and a heraldic shield to the right, set against a richly decorated architectural niche. The circular legend reads WILHELM I. DEUTSCHER KAISER along the border, flanked by oak branches. |
