| Reverse description | A plain cross divides the reverse field into four quadrants, each canton containing a fleur-de-lis rendered in the Gothic style typical of Burgundian billon issues. The fleurs-de-lis are boldly struck and clearly discernible despite the coin's worn surfaces. A circular Latin legend runs along the outer border, referencing the mint of Auxonne. The design is characteristic of the small denier denomination struck under Philip III, Duke of Burgundy, at the Auxonne mint during the mid-fifteenth century. |
