| Reverse description | Crowned circular shield bearing the quartered arms of France (three fleurs-de-lis) and Dauphiné (a dolphin), the quarters divided by a plain cross, the whole surmounted by an elaborate royal crown. Two crossed scepters—a main scepter and a hand of justice—are placed behind the shield in saltire, their ornate terminals visible in the upper and lower quarters of the field. The circular legend SIT. NOMEN. DOMINI. BENEDICTVM . 1702 runs around the periphery within a beaded border, with the date incorporated into the legend at the base. |
