Reverse description A crowned shield of France semé with three fleurs-de-lis arranged two over one, set within a plain escutcheon surmounted by the royal crown of France. The mint mark appears to the left of the shield and the denomination mark to the right. The date is incorporated into the surrounding circular Latin legend, which runs along the toothed border separated from the central device by a plain inner rim.
