| Reverse description | Central cross fleury (croix achée) divides the field into four quarters; the first and fourth quarters bear an uncial letter L (for Louis), while the second and third quarters each contain a porcupine passant, the royal badge of Louis XII. The arms of the cross terminate in stylized fleurs-de-lis. The surrounding circular Latin legend, punctuated throughout by pairs of superimposed rings, carries the Christological acclamation. A beaded inner border frames the central motif. |
