Obverse description Conjoined busts of King Baudouin, wearing spectacles and military uniform, and Queen Fabiola, diademed with a pearl necklace, facing left in double portrait. The effigies are framed by an ornate laurel and oak wreath extending around the lower and lateral fields. A crowned royal monogram 'B' appears prominently at the top of the field. The date 1993 is inscribed on a ribbon banner at the base of the design.

Reverse description Two heraldic shields — representing the royal arms of Belgium and the personal arms of Queen Fabiola — displayed side by side and surmounted by a single royal crown, occupying the central field. Eight six-pointed stars are distributed around the field in a circular arrangement. The legend BELGIQUE arcs along the upper periphery, while the ECU denomination is rendered in large stylized letters at the base. The fineness mark 999 appears in the lower exergue area.
