Obverse lettering FRANCISCVS DEI GRA REX FRANCOR F
Reverse description Central design features a floriated cross with fleurs-de-lis at each terminal, surmounted by a large fleur-de-lis at the top arm, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The quadrants of the cross are filled with Gothic C-shaped ornaments. The surrounding legend in Gothic lettering reads CONRADVS REX ROMANOR FA, a traditional Genoese reverse type invoking the name of Conrad, King of the Romans, a reference retained on Genoese coinage by long-standing imperial privilege. The overall style is consistent with the Genoese hammered gold coinage tradition of the early sixteenth century.
