Reverse description A hand emerging from the right side of the coin, depicted in profile, pressing or examining a coin against a flat surface, symbolizing the testing or assaying of coinage. Above this central motif, in the upper portion of the field, appears the Latin motto EXPERTUS CREDIT in bold raised letters arching along the periphery. The date 1771 is inscribed in the lower exergue beneath the hand and surface, completing the composition. The reverse field is otherwise plain, lending a stark, emblematic quality to the design consistent with pattern coinage of the Warsaw Mint.
