Obverse description Right-facing bust of King Sigismund I the Old (Zygmunt I Stary), depicted in a crowned helmet or royal cap with ornate detailing, wearing armor or a draped mantle, rendered in the late Gothic hammered style typical of the Kraków mint in the early sixteenth century. The effigy occupies the central field, with the circular Latin legend surrounding it along the periphery.
