Reverse description A panoramic view of the city of Gdańsk (Danzig) as seen from the river, with detailed depictions of towers, spires, and fortifications rendered along the horizon line. Above the cityscape, rays emanate from a radiant sun at the top of the field, within which is inscribed the Tetragrammaton (יהוה) in Hebrew characters within an oval cartouche. In the lower portion of the field, the Arms of Gdańsk — two crosses beneath a crown on a shield — are supported by two lions rampant, flanked by the mint-master's initials G and R. The entire central design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, with the Latin legend of denomination and civic authority distributed around the full circumference.
Reverse script Latin/Hebrew
Reverse lettering 2 EX AURO SOLIDO CIVITAS GEDANENSIS FIERI F יהוה G R
