| Obverse description | Radiate bust of Vespasian facing right, with a globe at the point of the neck truncation, the effigy rendered in a robust, realistic portrait style characteristic of Flavian imperial coinage. The emperor is depicted with his characteristic broad face, strong jaw, and mature features, the radiate crown serving as the standard iconographic marker distinguishing dupondii from the laureate-crowned asses. The surrounding circular legend in Latin capitals runs along the coin's periphery. A flan crack is visible on the left side of the coin. |
