| Reverse description | The goddess Roma personified is depicted seated left upon a military cuirass, her figure rendered in classical allegorical style befitting Flavian imperial ideology. In her extended right hand she holds a wreath, while her left hand grasps a parazonium (short sword), symbolising Rome's martial strength and victorious dominion. A grouping of oval shields is visible in the field behind her figure. The abbreviated legend ROMA appears in the upper field, with the senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consultum) positioned prominently to either side of the central type, as was standard for bronze denominations of the period. |
