Reverse description Fortuna, draped and standing to the left, rendered as a stately female figure in the classical tradition. She holds in her right hand a rudder set upon a globe at her side, symbolising the guidance of fate, and in her left hand a cornucopiae together with a branch, emblems of abundance and prosperity. The senatorial authorisation mark S C (Senatus Consultum) appears in the field to either side of the figure, as was standard on Flavian bronze denominations. The reverse legend FORTVNAE REDVCI arcs around the upper field, invoking the goddess as bringer of safe return.
