Obverse description Radiate head of Emperor Vespasian facing right, rendered in portrait style with strong facial features characteristic of Flavian-era coinage. A small globe is placed at the base of the neck truncation, a distinctive feature of this issue. The imperial legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan within a beaded border. The portrait exhibits the realistic, slightly austere style typical of Vespasian's numismatic effigy, emphasizing his mature, lined visage.
