| 背面描述 | The personification of Victory, draped and advancing to the left, holds a long palm frond in her raised left hand — the ancient symbol of military triumph — while with her extended right hand she erects a tall trophy. The trophy, composed of captured enemy arms and armour, is flanked at its base by two oblong shields, alluding to the Dacian campaigns. This reverse type celebrates Trajan's victories in Dacia and appears with minor variations across the series, with some specimens omitting the weapons at the trophy base. The field inscription S·P·Q·R OPTIMO PRINCIPI is divided around the central composition, with the senatorial authorisation mark S·C in the lower field. |
