Obverse description Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Titus as Caesar facing right, rendered in bold high relief with visible paludamentum over the shoulder. The radiate crown, a standard attribute distinguishing the dupondius from the as, crowns the portrait. The encircling Latin legend runs clockwise from the lower left, recording Titus's imperial titulature. The portrait displays the characteristic Flavian style with naturalistic facial modeling.
