| Beschrijving keerzijde | Domitian on horseback, advancing left at a spirited trot, rendered in the heroic equestrian tradition of imperial Rome. The figure is depicted raising his right hand in a gesture of salutation or address, while his left hand grasps a sceptre. The senatorial mark of authority S C (Senatus Consultum) is placed in the lower field on either side of the horse, and the legend PRINCIP IVVENT arcs across the upper field, identifying Domitian in his role as Prince of the Youth. The composition reflects the standard Flavian dynastic type intended to promote Domitian as heir apparent. |
