Obverse description Bare-shouldered, laureate bust of Tiberius facing right, rendered in a refined late Augustan style with naturalistic portraiture. The laureate wreath is depicted with closely spaced leaves resting atop curling locks of hair visible at the brow and nape. The effigy displays strong, idealized facial features consistent with imperial portraiture of the period. The encircling legend is incuse within a dotted border, reading TI CAESAR AVGVST F IMPERAT V, identifying the emperor by name, filiation, and fifth imperatorial acclamation.
