Obverse description Bare head of Tiberius Caesar facing left, with lituus (augural staff) before the bust. A Phoenician inscription surrounds the portrait within a beaded border, the legend disposed in two lines with a date below. The portrait is rendered in a provincial style characteristic of North African municipal coinage of the Julio-Claudian period.
