| Beschrijving keerzijde | Livia, mother of Tiberius and widow of Augustus, is depicted seated to the right on an ornate throne or chair, draped in classical robes. She holds a patera in her outstretched right hand and a long sceptre in her left. The magistrates' names and titles appear in the surrounding legend, while the letters M M flank the figure in the field and V appears below, referencing the Municipium of Utica. The composition and iconography closely follow Roman imperial reverse types associating the empress with divine or quasi-divine attributes. |
