Obverse description Bare head of Tiberius facing left, rendered in fine relief with carefully delineated hair rendered in short, layered locks across the crown. The portrait displays the characteristic idealized yet individualistic style of Julio-Claudian provincial coinage. The encircling legend is distributed around the periphery of the flan in Latin capitals. The flan is broadly struck and slightly irregular in outline, consistent with provincial hammered bronze production of the period.
