| Obverse description | Bare head of Tiberius facing left, rendered in a naturalistic Julio-Claudian portrait style with closely cropped hair and strong, authoritative features. The effigy is depicted without laurel wreath or diadem, emphasizing the emperor's unadorned dignity. The surrounding legend, incuse in raised relief, encircles the portrait field and identifies the emperor with his full imperial titulature. The portrait is boldly struck with good relief, typical of provincial colonial issues of the early principate. |
