| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Philip II facing right, depicted as a young prince. The effigy shows distinctive radiating crown spikes and layered military dress with paludamentum. The surrounding legend reads IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, disposed clockwise around the bust within a beaded border. The portrait style is characteristic of Viminacium provincial coinage, with a youthful facial treatment consistent with Philip II's representation as Caesar and later Augustus. |
