| Beschrijving keerzijde | The goddess Pudicitia, personification of modesty and chastity, is depicted seated left on a high-backed throne, fully draped in flowing robes. She raises her right hand toward her veiled face in the characteristic gesture of pudicitia, and rests her left arm along the throne. The reverse field is largely plain, with the exergual area bearing the senatorial authorization mark S C (Senatus Consulto), affirming the Senate's sanction of the issue. The reverse legend PVDICITIA is inscribed around the figure. The type deliberately associates the empress Sabina with this venerated Roman virtue. |
