Reverse description The personification of Tranquillitas (Tranquility) stands facing, rendered as a draped female figure in a static, frontal pose. She holds attributes consistent with her iconography — likely a rudder or sceptre in one hand and a patera or cornucopia in the other, symbolizing calm prosperity and stable governance. The legend TRANQVILLITAS AVG COS III P P encircles the design, with the senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) prominently placed in the field to either side of the figure. The overall composition follows the standard Hadrianic reverse type for this issue, struck at the Rome Mint under senatorial authorization.
