Obverse description Bare-chested laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with traces of drapery visible on the far shoulder. The effigy is rendered in the characteristic Hadrianic portrait style, with a short beard and idealized physiognomy. The encircling legend HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS frames the imperial portrait along the periphery of the flan.
