| Beschrijving keerzijde | The personification of Iustitia (Justice) is depicted seated left on a throne or chair of state, draped in flowing robes. She holds a patera in her extended right hand and a long vertical sceptre in her left. The figure is rendered in classical style with careful attention to the folds of the drapery. The senatorial mark of authority S C (Senatus Consultum) appears in the lower field to either side of the exergue, affirming the senate's sanction for the bronze coinage. The surrounding legend identifies the type and Hadrian's honorific titles. |
