| Reverse description | Standing figure of Clementia, the personification of imperial clemency, depicted in full length facing left and clad in a flowing stola with a paludamentum draped over her shoulder. Her extended right hand presents a patera, while her left hand holds a long vertical sceptre. The senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum), signifying the senate's jurisdiction over bronze coinage, is placed prominently in the open field to either side of the standing figure. The encircling Latin legend, identifying the reverse type and elements of Hadrian's imperial titulature, runs along the upper and outer rim of the flan. |
