Reverse description The personification of Clementia stands in full figure facing left, robed in a long chiton and palla, extending her right hand to offer a patera in a gesture of libation, while her left hand rests upon a tall vertical sceptre. The figure is rendered in the classical Roman allegorical tradition, with drapery falling in naturalistic folds. The senatorial mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently placed in the field to either side of the figure, affirming the senatorial authority behind the issue. The reverse legend CLEMENTIA AVG COS III P P S C encircles the design along the periphery.
