正面描述 Bare-headed bust of Hadrian facing right, with short curled hair rendered in the characteristic Hellenistic style adopted by the emperor. The portrait is executed in high relief, displaying Hadrian's distinctive beard — a notable departure from the clean-shaven tradition of earlier emperors. The encircling Latin legend reads HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P, distributed around the obverse field. The coin exhibits a green and reddish-brown patina consistent with its bronze fabric and age.

附加信息

The "Adventus" series issued under Hadrian documents his unprecedented imperial tours — between 121 and 132 AD he visited nearly every province in the empire, a practice no previous emperor had pursued so systematically. The Macedonia type commemorates his passage through the region, almost certainly during his second great eastern journey around 128–129 AD, when he traveled through Greece and the Balkans before reaching Athens, a city he returned to with conspicuous devotion.

RIC II.3 1778 distinguishes this piece within a larger adventus group spanning more than a dozen provincial types struck in close sequence at Rome.
