| 背面描述 | The reverse depicts the adventus ceremony commemorating Hadrian's imperial visit to the province of Judaea, with two principal figures facing one another across a lighted altar. At left stands a togate or draped figure representing the personification of Judaea, extending the right hand in a gesture of greeting or supplication; at right stands the emperor Hadrian in military dress, extending his right hand to clasp that of the provincial figure. Between them, at the foot of the altar, a small child figure is shown, a common iconographic element in Hadrianic adventus types symbolizing the province's inhabitants or its future. The senatorial authorisation mark S C appears in the lower field in large letters, flanking the base of the composition. The encircling legend ADVENTVI AVG IVDAEAE runs along the upper periphery. |
