The legend SECVRITAS AVGVSTI arcs across the upper field, with S C flanking the central type and the numeral II appearing in the lower field, denoting the senatorial authority behind the issue. The composition is characteristic of the Neronian bronze coinage, with the allegorical figure rendered in a classicising Julio-Claudian style. |
