| Obverse description | Radiate bust of Nero facing right, draped at the shoulder, rendered with characteristic portraiture of the emperor in his mature years. The radiate crown, a convention distinguishing the dupondius from the as, crowns the imperial effigy. The legend encircles the bust clockwise in the field, giving the emperor's full titulature.
