| Beschrijving keerzijde | Salus, the goddess of health and well-being, is depicted seated to the right on a high-backed throne, rendered in the classicizing style characteristic of early Hadrianic bronzes. She holds a patera in her right hand, from which she feeds a serpent coiled around an altar to her right — a standard iconographic attribute associating her with healing and divine protection. The senatorial mark of authority, S C (Senatus Consultum), appears in the lower field on either side of the throne. The surrounding legend PONT MAX TR POT COS II SALVS AVG is distributed around the periphery, affirming Hadrian's priestly, tribunician, and consular titles alongside the dedicatory epithet of the reverse type. |
