Reverse description Pax, draped and standing to the left, holding an olive branch aloft in her extended right hand and a cornucopia in her left hand, emblematic of the prosperity and peace proclaimed at the outset of Galba's reign. The senatorial authority for the issue is affirmed by the S C (Senatus Consulto) legend flanking the central figure. The reverse inscription PAX AVGVST arcs above the personification. The design is executed in the typical bold, slightly provincial style of the late Neronian to Galbanic transitional coinage.
