Obverse description Bare-headed laureate bust of Emperor Galba facing right, depicted with the characteristic aged, jowled portrait features typical of his brief reign. The effigy is rendered in a realistic, unidealized style consistent with Julio-Claudian and early Flavian portraiture traditions. A circular Latin legend runs along the full periphery of the flan, naming the emperor with his titles. The die work is bold and deeply cut, though the irregular flan results in some legend loss at the edges.
