| Obverse description | Radiate bust of Domitian facing right, draped with aegis, rendered in high relief typical of Flavian portraiture. The emperor's effigy displays his characteristic facial features with a prominent brow and short hair beneath the radiate crown, which identifies the denomination as a dupondius. The aegis, a divine breastplate with scalloped scales, is visible at the shoulder. The encircling legend runs clockwise in incuse Latin lettering around the bust within the coin's field. |
