She extends her right hand forward, raising the hem of her garment with her left hand in the canonical attribute of the goddess, and holds a flower or floral spray in her raised right hand. The large senatorial authority mark S C (Senatus Consultum) is prominently placed in the field to either side of the figure, left and right respectively, as was standard for Flavian-era aes coinage. The reverse field shows the characteristic rough, slightly uneven surface of hammered bronze production. |
