Obverse description Radiate bust of Domitian facing left, the emperor portrayed with a laureate wreath of rays atop his head, rendered in the Flavian portraiture style with strongly modelled facial features. The effigy is shown as a bare-shouldered bust, with the legend surrounding the portrait within a beaded border. The inscription, reading from left to right around the circumference, identifies Domitian as Caesar and son of the deified Vespasian, holding the consulship for the seventh time.
