| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned bust of Sigismund III Vasa, wearing a broad ruffled collar and armour, the king's effigy rendered in high relief in the Renaissance portrait style. The royal crown is elaborately detailed with fleurs-de-lis and cross finial. A Latin legend runs along the inner border of the coin, reading SIGIS III D G REX POL, identifying the monarch by name, regnal number, and title by the grace of God, King of Poland. |
