Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of King Jan II Kazimierz Waza facing right, wearing a laurel wreath and armored cuirass with ornamental details visible at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the bold Baroque style characteristic of mid-17th century Polish royal coinage. The circular Latin legend runs along the periphery, divided by the bust, reading IO CAS D G REX PO ET SV, abbreviating the king's full royal titulature. The coin border is defined by a fine inner beaded circle.
