背面描述 The arms of Gdańsk displayed at centre: a crowned shield bearing two crosses beneath a third in pale, supported by two rampant lions on either side, surmounted by a crested helmet with a spread eagle as crest. The entire heraldic composition is rendered in fine detail characteristic of Gdańsk municipal coinage. The mintmaster's initial B appears in the lower field. The circumferential legend MON AVREA CIVI GEDANENSIS with the date 1633 runs around the inner beaded border, identifying this as a gold coin of the City of Gdańsk.

附加信息

Gdańsk held a peculiar constitutional position within the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth — nominally subject to the Crown but jealously guarding its municipal privileges, including the right to strike its own gold coinage. Władysław IV's accession in 1632 required formal confirmation of those privileges, and the city's ducat issues of 1633–1635 were produced partly as diplomatic currency: high-value presentation pieces circulated among merchants and officials as much as they functioned as trade coin.

The Kop#7577–7581 sequence spans at least four distinct die combinations across the three-year run, with subtle differences in the king's titulature abbreviations distinguishing them. The Gdańsk mint's gold work of this period is generally considered superior to the royal mints at Bydgoszcz and Kraków.
