Reverse description The arms of the city of Elbląg displayed centrally within a shield: a white cross on a red field surmounted by an eagle displayed, rendered in a heraldic style characteristic of Polish municipal coinage of the period. An angelic or eagle supporter appears above the shield. The date, split across the upper field, flanks the central device. A circular Latin legend surrounds the entire composition along the coin's rim, identifying the coin as a new gold issue of the city of Elbląg.
