背面描述 The reverse features a large stylized lotus flower with prominent petals radiating outward from a central circular field, filling nearly the entire design area. Within the central circle, the name of the goddess Bhavani is rendered in Devanagari script, surrounded by dot ornaments arranged in a cruciform pattern. Each petal of the lotus contains a repeated honorific Devanagari syllable from the legend of Shri Bhavani. The outer rim is bordered by a continuous row of raised beads, consistent with the milled production technique of this issue.

附加信息

The Duitola Asarphi was struck under Prithvi Bir Bikram Shah, who ascended the throne as a child in 1881 and ruled Nepal through a period when the Rana prime ministers held effective power — the Shah kings reduced largely to ceremonial figureheads. This coin was issued in 1907, just one year before Prithvi Bir Bikram died without a direct heir, triggering a succession dispute that briefly destabilized the Rana-controlled court. Gold asarphis of this weight class were not general circulation pieces; they functioned within court economies and as diplomatic gifts.
