| Obverse description | Central square cartouche encloses a raised circular medallion bearing a trident (trishula) symbol, surrounded by Devanagari legends naming King Prithvi Bir Bikram Shah arranged in horizontal lines. Flanking the cartouche in the field are floral and crescent decorative devices. Above the cartouche, additional Devanagari lettering appears in the field, while the Nepalese Sambat date 1964 (VS) is inscribed below in Devanagari numerals. The entire design is enclosed within a raised dotted border running along the coin's circumference. |
